Step by Step Guide to setting up a website...
You might think it is hard - it's not - take it easy, read below and then give it a go!
Click on Build a DIY Website (third menu item on the left) DON'T CLICK IT JUST YET - READ FIRST
You will need to pick a design from either a professional or personal design template. Next you will be asked to pick the types of pages you might require. Don't worry, you can always add or subtract pages later.
Next you will choose an address. Choose an address carefully as this will be your FREE .bounce.com.au address. If you have a business ABC Florists you would pick e.g. abcflorists.bounce.com.au
You will be asked for a Username, Password and an email address. Make sure the email address is current as you will receive a confirmation email upon registering.
Once you have clicked on the confirmation link in the email we know that you have recieved our email - you are away!
Explore, click, drag etc - get a feel for the website maker. If you muck it up you can always start again.
If you are not sure of anything - in the top right hand corner on the toolbar (just under view my site) simply press HELP then HELP - here you can search for "how to" instructions. e.g. adding images etc. Use this as it is quite comprehensive and will save you heaps of time.
You have 14 days to evaluate Bounce DIY Websites.
If you already have your own Domain name which you would like linked to your Bounce website you will need to Point the DNS A Record to 146.101.249.107 . Normally this is done via Manage a Domain though the company with whom you purchased the Domain Name. (you will need to subscribe for this feature to be operational)
If you haven't got a Domain name and would like one - you can purchase it though Bounce interactive. We offer a FREE redirection service for you. As it is a bit tricky we ask you to fill out the feedback form under Domain Name (fourth menu item) and we will do it for you. Our Domain names are competitively priced!
You will need a seperate Username and Password when purchasing Domain Names as we are a reseller and abide by the auDA (Australian Domain Name Administrator) rules and regulatons. Don't make this the same password for security!
When purchasing a Domain Name consider the Email Forwarding option as you can have an email address e.g. fred@abcflorists.com.au and it will redirect to your existing email account so you can use a hotmail, gmail accounts etc. There is no need to do the URL Forwarding as we need a more sophisticated DNS A Pointing.
If you feel you need stand alone email addresses you will need to purchase a website hosting package - again you can use your own or purchase one through Bounce Interactive.
When purchasing a package think about how long you require the website for. Most go for the annual as it is cheaper than paying month by month. Start of with the Lite Package as you can always upgrade packages at anytime. Also if feel you need more time to evaluate Bounce DIY website purchase a months worth - again you can always upgrade to an annual account at a later stage.
There are no time limits to your site. You can puchase for one month if required, or longer.

<p>Yes it does. SiteMaker makes all of your content visible to search engines in W3C compliant HTML which allows them to easily index and rank your pages. Additionally, SiteMaker gives you the option to add page titles, keywords and descriptions for every page in your site, and we automatically produce a Sitemap document for your site which gives search engines a complete list of your visible pages. If you don't want your pages listed by search engines, we allow you to make them invisible too. Many of our sites rank extremely highly on search engines.</p>

<p>SiteMaker sites are always 'live' online, i.e. you don't have to publish them. Your pages are always available to people visiting your site and changes that you make happen instantaneously. We also enable you to hide pages from the menu while you are editing them if you prefer.</p>

<p>SiteMaker is available in 4 different versions from Lite to Max. All of the packs use the same core SiteMaker product making it easy to upgrade between packages. A full list of product features is available on our <a href="pricing.html">pricing page</a>.</p>
<p>Lite is the basic paid version and gives you access to most features with the ability to build 1 site. Standard gives you access to e-commerce features, allows you to build up to 5 sites and provides more disk space and bandwidth. Plus increases your limit to 10 sites and further increases disk space and bandwidth. Max gives you all the SiteMaker features, allows an unlimited number of sites to be built and gives the most disk space and bandwidth.</p>
<a name="canigoogletools" id="canigoogletools"></a> <h4>Can I use Google tools (Webmaster tools, Sitemaps, AdSense, Analytics, AdWords)?</h4>
<p>All of them. SiteMaker allows you to place <a href="https://www.google.com/adsense/">Google AdSense</a> adverts on your site enabling you to make money from the clicks-throughs. You can also buy <a href="http://adwords.google.com/">AdWords</a> on Google to drive traffic to your site. Tracking user activity and page views on your site can be achieved by using <a href="http://www.google.com/analytics/">Google Analytics</a> which you can easily sign up for through your site. Furthermore, we allow you to use <a href="http://www.google.com/webmasters/">Google Webmaster</a> tools and automatically produce a Sitemap for your site that helps search engines index your pages.</p>

<p>The SiteMaker editing tools are built using Adobe Flash because it allows us to offer a genuine 'drag and drop' WYSIWYG interface that makes SiteMaker so easy to use. However, we publish your site in both Flash and HTML so it is available to the widest range of browsers and is correctly indexed and listed by search engines. Flash is often criticised for not being search engine friendly, which is why we extract the content from your site and publish it in HTML too. So you get all the benefits of a slick easy to use Flash interface without any downside. That is why SiteMaker is an awesome tool.</p>
